Op Koningsdag in Meppel stonden veel Drenten weer op de vrijmarkt. En wat aan het eind van de dag niet verkocht was? Dat hoefde niet terug naar zolder om stof te verzamelen: je kon het inleveren bij de VET-goed kar voor een tweede leven.
Bij de VET- goed kar leverden mensen hun overgebleven spullen in. Van elektrische apparaten tot andere bruikbare items. Al deze spullen krijgen een nieuwe bestemming bij een goed doel. En iedereen die iets inleverde mocht een cadeautje uitkiezen, zoals een kwartetspel of een Donald Duck-boekje.
